Where can you enjoy sweeping views over Paris, spot the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, and the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur — all while being just thirty minutes on foot or by metro from Notre-Dame Cathedral? Where can you reach Orly Airport without changing trains and be at Charles de Gaulle Airport in just twenty minutes?
Where is France’s largest stadium — the Stade de France — within walking distance, hosting international football matches, cup finals, and major concerts such as Beyoncé’s? And where in Paris would you stay if you wanted to explore the Cité du Cinéma — a vast complex of studios, cinemas, restaurants and festivals, founded by Luc Besson?
Where in Greater Paris can you find such a rich variety of event venues — from the state-of-the-art convention centre of a hotel to the presidential suite at the Stade de France, from an exclusive bar in the film quarter to elegant art halls at the Bourse de Commerce, or even rustic beer tastings in a local craft brewery?
All of this is brought together in one place: the H4 Hotel Wyndham Paris Pleyel Resort.
A New Centrepiece Hotel
This new landmark in Saint-Denis is not only the largest hotel in the area, but also the most significant hotel opening in Greater Paris in nearly fifty years — excluding Disneyland Paris. Nearly 700 rooms are spread over 40 floors. Even the entry-level “Comfort Room” lives up to its name, offering at least 19 square metres of space, individually adjustable air conditioning, a desk and designer chair, flat-screen TV, kettle, shower, hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi.
Highest Pool, Most Spectacular Views
Highlights include a 24-hour gym, Paris’s highest hotel pool on the top floor, and the stylish sky bar “The Stage” just below it.
A Convention Centre of Superlatives
The hotel is particularly appealing to companies and event organisers: its in-house convention centre covers 10,000 square metres, featuring direct truck access and cutting-edge technical equipment. It is ideal for trade fairs, conferences, exhibitions, sporting events or television productions. In addition to the expansive main hall, there are 16 daylight-filled rooms for workshops and smaller meetings.
The Transformation of Saint-Denis
But the hotel alone doesn’t tell the whole story — it’s part of a remarkable transformation. The opening of the H4 Pleyel Resort symbolises the successful regeneration of Saint-Denis.
When the Stade de France opened in 1998, it marked the beginning of a profound shift. During the 1980s and 1990s, Saint-Denis was heavily affected by deindustrialisation and population decline. Today, the district is full of energy and contrast: glass-fronted office buildings stand alongside lovingly restored brick architecture, with bistros, workshops, galleries, and boutiques creating a vibrant urban mix. In some alleyways, old railway tracks still trace the industrial past — a quiet echo of what once was.
Unique MICE Locations
Saint-Denis offers a wide array of memorable venues for MICE events:
The Stade de France provides not only VIP lounges but also event spaces overlooking the pitch. The Cité du Cinéma is centred around the grand hall “La Nef Lumière”, a converted power plant. The Académie Fratellini — France’s renowned circus school — rents out its circus tents for corporate events, complete with tailor-made performances.
Between Business and the City Centre
If you don’t want to miss the heart of Paris, simply hop on metro line 14. It connects Saint-Denis with central Paris in just twenty minutes — while still allowing you to breathe away from the city’s hustle and bustle.
