The Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card will be
issued by Deutsche Bank starting October 1, 2025. All proven benefits remain in
place, while new attractive services and features are added – at no extra cost
to cardholders. The gradual transition will be completed by spring 2026 to
ensure a seamless process for all customers. Mastercard will continue as the
payment partner.
Enhanced benefits for cardholders
As part of the new partnership, cardholders will enjoy
familiar advantages along with new services. To mark the transition, the
monthly card fee will be waived for the first month, and customers will receive
a one-time welcome bonus in the form of miles and points, depending on card
product and frequent flyer status.
Dieter Vranckx, Chief Commercial Officer of the
Lufthansa Group, said:
“With the new Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card,
we have developed a product with Deutsche Bank that offers our customers
significant added value – with proven services, attractive innovations, and a
fresh design. We look forward to offering our customers even more benefits as
part of this strong partnership.”
Ole Matthiessen, Head of Cash Management at Deutsche
Bank, commented:
“We are focusing on growth with Lufthansa's successful
loyalty program. With the new credit card, we are expanding our offering for
our customers as a global principal bank worldwide and look forward to offering
them further attractive benefits and services in the future.”
Dr. Peter Robejsek, Managing Director of Mastercard
Germany, added:
“We are delighted to be working with our partners to
usher in a new era for one of the world's most successful loyalty programs. The
new Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Card offers cardholders a wide range of
benefits – from secure and convenient payments to exclusive travel and
lifestyle experiences.”
Seamless transition for all customer groups
Existing cardholders are being informed in writing
about the next steps. The earning of miles continues uninterrupted during the
transition. Frequent flyers will be the first group to move to the new product
and will benefit from a special transition bonus. Other cardholders and new
customers will follow gradually.
The card must be reapplied for as part of the bank
change. Existing DKB-issued credit cards remain valid until each customer
transitions or cancels. From October 1, 2025, details on the application
process will be available on the Miles & More credit card website.
Portfolio overview
The transition affects the entire Lufthansa Miles
& More credit card range in Germany:

·

·
Exclusive cards for frequent travelers, Senators, and HON Circle members
