Both the A320neo and A321neo aircraft will be
operated in a two-class configuration consisting of Business Class and Economy
Class in a 3-3 seating arrangement. The first aircraft, an A320neo in the
"Passion" colour, is expected to join the Condor fleet in April 2024.
"Following the modernisation of the entire
long-haul fleet, Condor will continue its modernisation programme and renew its
entire short and medium-haul fleet from spring," says Christian Schmitt,
COO and Accountable Manager Condor. "Over the next four years, this will
not only create a significantly younger and more efficient fleet with
attractive new features, but also standardise the design and on-board product.
In future, guests will also enjoy connectivity on board on short-haul flights,
significantly more storage space in the overhead compartments and more comfort
at their seat with selected features."
Connectivity, XL luggage compartments and moodlight
accents on short- and medium-haul flights
Stay connected above the clouds: In future, the
"FlyConnect" entertainment and internet portal will be available to
passengers in all travel classes on all flights operated by the new aircraft.
In the FlyConnect portal, passengers can purchase various data packages and
stream the latest entertainment programme with blockbusters, classics,
children's films and documentaries or an extensive range of music and magazines
on their personal devices. In order to be able to enjoy the entertainment in comfort,
there will be a holder for the mobile device at each seat in future.
The cabin is equipped with comfortable seats from
Recaro, which offer more amenities and comfort than before on short and
medium-haul flights. In Business Class, guests can expect the Recaro BL3710
with more seat pitch, a longer armrest and a generously reclining backrest.
Economy Class is equipped with the SL3710 seat from Recaro. In addition to the
holder for the mobile device, the seats in all classes have separate cup
holders and more storage space in the handy seat pockets.
The extra-large overhead stowage compartments above
the seats make it even easier to store personal travelling items. In addition,
the Moodlight customised for Condor ensures optimum lighting conditions and an
unmistakable feel-good atmosphere. The elegant design and stylish colour
concept with subtle stripes in the Condor look also contribute to this.
Modernisation and efficiency
Since the end of 2022, Condor has been taking
delivery of a brand-new A330neo aircraft every month and will have modernised
its entire long-haul fleet by spring 2024. With the new ultra-modern short and
medium-haul aircraft of the A32xneo family, Condor is focussing on
state-of-the-art technology, maximum efficiency and the highest level of
customer comfort. The new Condor aircraft will be equipped with the latest
generation of engines from Pratt & Whitney: The two new versions PW1127G on
the A320neo and PW1133G on the A321neo not only reduce fuel consumption by 20
per cent, but can also be operated with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). In
addition, the factory-new Airbuses have up to 20 per cent lower CO2 emissions
and up to 50 per cent less noise. Converted, the paraffin consumption per
passenger per 100 kilometres on board an A321neo is 1.7 litres, and 1.9 litres
for an A320neo - with maximum customer comfort. Once the modernisation is
complete, Condor will have the youngest fleet in Europe.
