The group continues to build on this success with new market entries and strategic signings in the first quarter of 2025.

Expanding Across Africa

Radisson Hotel Group has signed 11 new hotels and opened 7 properties over the past 15 months, adding more than 2,000 rooms to its portfolio. With a total of 100 hotels across 30 countries, the group’s expansion is driven by a strong focus on local partnerships and high-impact conversions, with 1,000 rooms opened through conversions alone.

Elie Younes, Executive Vice President & Global Chief Development Officer, stated, "Our strategic expansion in Africa has been remarkable, entering new markets like Tanzania, Conakry, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our strong pipeline and effective execution highlight our commitment to delivering high-quality hospitality while creating long-term social impact in the communities we serve."

New Market Entries: Democratic Republic of Congo

Radisson Hotel Group announced its entry into the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with two key projects:

·         Radisson Blu Hotel, Kinshasa (Opening late 2026): Located in Kinshasa’s prime Gombe district, this upper-upscale hotel will feature 110 rooms, diverse dining options, wellness facilities, and modern meeting spaces.

·         Radisson Hotel Lubumbashi (Opening mid-2027): Situated on Revolution Road Avenue, this upscale property will offer 97 guest rooms, a rooftop bar, flexible meeting areas, and proximity to key landmarks like Kipopo Lake and Lubumbashi Golf Club.

Strengthening the Indian Ocean and West Africa Presence

Radisson also marked its entry into Guinea with the opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Conakry, just three months after signing. Additionally, the group expanded its Indian Ocean portfolio with the signing and opening of Crystals Beach Resort Belle Mare in Mauritius, featuring 234 rooms with stunning lagoon views.

Strategic Growth in Central and West Africa

In Cameroon, Radisson signed the Radisson Blu Hotel & Apartments, Yaoundé, scheduled to open by the end of 2026. Located in the central business district, the hotel will feature 150 rooms, various dining options, and extensive meeting and wellness facilities, reinforcing the group’s presence in Central Africa.

Future Growth and Strategic Markets

Radisson aims to maintain its leadership by targeting strategic markets:

·         Morocco: Aiming for 30 hotels by 2030

·         South Africa: Doubling its footprint to 25 hotels by 2030

·         Nigeria: Continuing expansion with multiple developments

“Our focus on geographical diversification, coupled with a commitment to strengthening key markets, positions us for sustained growth across Africa. We are dedicated to delivering premium hospitality experiences while fostering positive community impact,” added Younes.
