Effective April 30, 2025, the 260-room hotel, just a 30-minute drive from Faro International Airport in Vilamoura, will become Victoria Golf Resort & Spa, Managed by Accor.
Boasting pristine beaches, world-class golf - including the Victoria golf course, home of the Portugal Masters - culinary indulgences, designer brand retail and a vibrant marina and casino, Vilamoura is one of the Algarve’s most refined towns. Wineries, olive groves and fleur de sel fields are easily accessible. Guests interested in local exploration can cruise around the legendary Ria Formosa islands and encounter unique ecosystems as fishermen harvest oysters, clams and other local delicacies. Nearby Loulé is a hilly region with ancient ruins and a charming local market, whilst The Seven Hanging Valleys Trail is a spectacular 11.5km coastal hike.
The property will be managed by Accor under white label while it undergoes a comprehensive property improvement plan. Upon completion, Victoria Golf Resort & Spa will be fully rebranded as a Fairmont property, its exceptional golf facilities and beautiful natural surroundings perfectly complementing the wider Fairmont Hotels & Resorts portfolio. Accor will ensure a seamless transition and integration of Fairmont’s signature brand markers, complemented by touches that celebrate the property’s local culture – positioning the hotel at the heart of the local community and destination.

The property is home to four restaurants, four bars, four swimming pools, a spa with six treatment rooms, a gym, kids club and direct access to the neighboring golf course. Rooms and suites are split between two wings and all have private balconies. Unique conference spaces, which can host up to 700 guests, blend classic elegance with world-class facilities and tailored services and will set the standard for luxury events in the region.
Accor currently operates more than 35 hotels in Portugal across a diverse array of brands including Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, ibis Styles, and ibis as well as Ennismore’s Mama Shelter.
