Effective April 30, 2025, the 260-room hotel, just a 30-minute drive from Faro International Airport in Vilamoura, will become Victoria Golf Resort & Spa, Managed by Accor.
Boasting pristine beaches, world-class golf - including the Victoria golf course, home of the Portugal Masters - culinary indulgences, designer brand retail and a vibrant marina and casino, Vilamoura is one of the Algarve’s most refined towns. Wineries, olive groves and fleur de sel fields are easily accessible. Guests interested in local exploration can cruise around the legendary Ria Formosa islands and encounter unique ecosystems as fishermen harvest oysters, clams and other local delicacies. Nearby Loulé is a hilly region with ancient ruins and a charming local market, whilst The Seven Hanging Valleys Trail is a spectacular 11.5km coastal hike.
The property will be managed by Accor under white label while it undergoes a comprehensive property improvement plan. Upon completion, Victoria Golf Resort & Spa will be fully rebranded as a Fairmont property, its exceptional golf facilities and beautiful natural surroundings perfectly complementing the wider Fairmont Hotels & Resorts portfolio. Accor will ensure a seamless transition and integration of Fairmont’s signature brand markers, complemented by touches that celebrate the property’s local culture – positioning the hotel at the heart of the local community and destination.
Omer Acar, CEO, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, commented, “Vilamoura is one of Portugal’s most exciting and sought-after destinations, full of life and energy. Coupled with the hotel’s world-class golf course in a stunning natural setting, this property is an ideal fit for Fairmont. We look forward to working closely with Arrow Global Group to introduce the first Fairmont property in Portugal, while continuing to strengthen our presence in Southern Europe.”
John Calvão, Fund Principal at Arrow Global Group, commented, “We are thrilled about the partnership with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Accor, a move that significantly enhances the positioning of the integrated hospitality, sports, and leisure ecosystem we are developing in Vilamoura.
