IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of
the Garner Hotel Istanbul – Airport Arnavutköy, marking the brand’s debut in
Türkiye. Located just 14 kilometres from Istanbul Airport, one of Europe’s
busiest aviation hubs, the 56-room hotel offers an easy-going stay that
balances comfort, convenience, and value.
Nestled in Istanbul’s lively Arnavutköy district, the
property places guests within walking distance of cafés, restaurants, and
shops, while maintaining quick airport access via subway, bus, or taxi.
Designed for both business and leisure travellers, the hotel provides a
seamless base for early departures, late arrivals, or short stopovers.
Comfortable, connected, and easy-going
Reflecting Garner’s relaxed approach to travel, the
hotel features comfortable rooms, ergonomic workspaces, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
Guests can enjoy fresh breakfast options, all-day dining, and 24/7 access to
snacks and drinks from the Garner Shop in the lobby. Families and groups
benefit from interconnecting rooms, while flexible airport transfers —
including private options — ensure a smooth journey from door to terminal.
Additional amenities include a 24-hour reception,
laundry and dry-cleaning services, and modern meeting-friendly spaces that make
the hotel ideal for both short business stays and family trips.
A milestone for the Garner brand
“We are incredibly proud to mark the opening of Garner
Hotel Istanbul – Airport Arnavutköy — the very first Garner hotel in Türkiye
and a major milestone for the brand,” said Mehmet Kocabas, General Manager.
“Situated just minutes from one of Europe’s most connected transport hubs, this
hotel is purpose-built for travellers who value comfort, convenience, and
quality. Whether arriving late, departing early, or simply passing through,
guests can count on a relaxed, seamless experience.”
The hotel’s design includes Garner’s signature “Sketches
of Humanity” installation in the lobby — a celebration of diversity and
connection that embodies the brand’s spirit of authentic hospitality. Expansion
plans are already underway, with additional rooms scheduled for completion in 2026
and 2027, bringing the total to 118.
Part of a growing global network
The Istanbul opening joins a growing Garner portfolio
of more than 28 open hotels and over 36 in development across Europe, including
Garner Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket, Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury, and Garner
Hotel Rome Aurelia.
As part of IHG’s expanding midscale offering, Garner
continues to strengthen its presence in key international gateways — making
travel simpler, more personal, and more connected.
