Silversea introduces four suite categories across its fleet - Get updated on what's happening in tourism!

Silversea is restructuring its accommodation portfolio across its classic and expedition fleet. The cruise line’s 17 suite types will now be grouped into four categories – Oceanview, Veranda, Residence and Villa – designed to make the differences between accommodation types and included services clearer for guests.

Bookings under the new structure are available from 16 September 2026. Additional benefits for passengers staying in Residence and Villa suites will apply to voyages departing on or after 1 January 2027.

Seventeen suite types grouped into four categories

The Oceanview category comprises Panorama and Vista suites, both offering large windows and sea views. The Veranda category includes Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda and Veranda suites, all featuring private balconies.

Residence accommodations provide separate sleeping and living areas and include Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion and Medallion suites. At the top of the range, the Villa category consists of Otium, Master, Owner’s, Grand and Royal suites, offering the largest living spaces and terraces in the Silversea portfolio.

Existing inclusions remain available throughout the all-suite fleet. These include butler service, 24-hour in-suite dining, complimentary Wi-Fi, multiple dining options, beverages, port fees, taxes and gratuities.

“Guests choose to sail with Silversea time and time again for the intimacy of our ships and the personal attention that comes with it,” said Silversea President Bert Hernandez. He said the revised structure would build on this approach by offering additional personalised services while maintaining existing inclusions.

Residence guests receive earlier reservation access

From January 2027, passengers booking Residence suites will receive priority embarkation on Classic Voyages. They will also gain earlier access to reservations, with spa treatments bookable up to 210 days before departure and dining reservations available 150 days in advance.

These benefits will be included alongside the standard services available to all Silversea guests.

Villa suites add transfers and personalised services

Villa guests will receive all Residence benefits plus a wider range of services. On Classic Voyages, passengers who book their flights through Silversea will be offered a private transfer as part of the arrival experience. Priority embarkation, early access to the suite and a welcome escort are also included.

Passengers will be able to arrange individual consultations with the ship’s chef, sommelier and spa manager. Additional in-suite experiences range from chef-selected dining and afternoon tea to stargazing with Champagne and caviar, cocktail gatherings and cigar-and-whiskey pairings.

Each Villa suite will also contain a Technogym exercise bag with a yoga mat, resistance bands and roller.

Additional privileges on classic and expedition voyages

Villa passengers will receive priority access to Silversea’s Destination Experts for assistance with flights, hotels, shore excursions, land programmes and city stays before departure.

At selected disembarkation ports on Classic Voyages, they will also be able to remain aboard for longer on the final day, continuing to use dining venues, beverages, Wi-Fi and other public areas while their luggage is stored until the ship’s next departure.

The expedition fleet will offer a different set of additional privileges. Villa guests will be able to choose their preferred Zodiac departure group, receive priority access to a kayaking session and gain behind-the-scenes insight into expedition operations alongside members of the onboard team.

The new structure applies across Silversea’s classic and expedition fleets and represents a clearer differentiation of accommodation levels while retaining the core services included throughout the cruise line’s all-suite ships.
