Seabourn has launched The Ruby Collection, a series of
54 ocean and expedition voyages celebrating the cruise line's 40th anniversary
in 2028. Now open for booking, the programme covers destinations across the
Caribbean, Mediterranean, Alaska, Northern Europe, the Arctic, Antarctica,
Southeast Asia and Japan, combining new itineraries, exclusive experiences and
enhanced onboard celebrations.
The collection includes sailings ranging from
seven-day yacht-style cruises to two landmark long voyages: the 120-day Cape to
Cape World Cruise and the 96-day Grand Expedition: Pole to Pole.
Anniversary voyages highlight new destinations
The Ruby Collection introduces several new ports and
experiences, including calls at Taichung and Tainan in Taiwan, Petersburg and
Valdez in Alaska, Tvøroyri in the Faroe Islands and Cape Clear Island in
Ireland.
Guests will also be able to experience seasonal
highlights such as Taiwan's Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, an eight-day Denali
land programme in Alaska and Seabourn's return to the historic Canadian port of
Red Bay.
"Some journeys stay with travelers forever,"
said Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn. "As we celebrate 40 years of
exploration, that same pioneering spirit shapes The Ruby Collection, featuring
voyages across our ocean and expedition fleet that reflect where we began while
pushing further into the places and experiences that define what exploration
means with Seabourn."
Signature experiences return across the fleet
The collection revives Seabourn's Yachtsman Collection,
focusing on smaller Mediterranean and Caribbean ports accessible to luxury
small ships. Guests can enjoy overnight stays, marina days, local culinary
experiences and signature events such as Caviar in the Surf.
On expedition voyages, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn
Pursuit will explore the Arctic, Greenland, Antarctica and the South Atlantic
with Zodiac excursions, wildlife encounters and landings in remote
destinations.
World Cruise and Pole-to-Pole expedition
The centrepiece of the anniversary programme is the
120-day Cape to Cape World Cruise, departing on 7 January 2028. Sailing aboard
Seabourn Quest, the voyage visits 58 destinations in 23 countries across five
continents and, for the first time, includes complimentary expedition-style
experiences in Antarctica and the Chilean Fjords.
Later in the year, Seabourn Venture will operate the
96-day Grand Expedition: Pole to Pole, connecting the High Arctic with
Antarctica through 14 countries and territories.
Throughout 2028, every Seabourn sailing will feature
special Ruby Jubilee celebrations, while the Ruby Collection voyages will
include additional exclusive events marking the cruise line's 40th anniversary.
