Seabourn has opened bookings for its winter 2028-2029
Caribbean programme, with ten itineraries aboard Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn
Quest. The season will run from late December 2028 to late March 2029 and
includes voyages of seven to 12 days.
The programme covers 21 ports across 20 countries and
island territories, with an emphasis on smaller harbours and destinations that
are difficult for larger cruise ships to access. Among them are St. Barts,
Bequia and Little Bay in Montserrat.
Smaller ports shape the programme
Seabourn Ovation will sail between Bridgetown in
Barbados and Philipsburg in Sint Maarten, while Seabourn Quest will operate
round-trip itineraries from Miami.
Several routes include late departures from St.
Maarten, Antigua, Barbados, Aruba and Curaçao, giving guests more time ashore.
The programme also focuses strongly on the Southern Caribbean and on yacht
harbours where berth capacity is limited.
St. Barts is one example. According to Seabourn, only
one cruise ship is welcomed there per day, making the destination particularly
suited to smaller vessels.
“The Caribbean remains one of our most sought-after
regions, and we're delighted to return with a collection of thoughtfully
designed voyages that showcase both iconic islands and lesser-known gems,” says
Mark Tamis, President of Seabourn.
Holiday sailings and Caviar in the Surf
One of the recurring highlights will be Seabourn’s
“Caviar in the Surf” experience at Carambola Beach in St. Kitts. Guests are
served Champagne and caviar in the water before a beach barbecue hosted by the
onboard team.
The 2028-2029 programme will also include festive
departures over Christmas and New Year. Both Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn
Quest are scheduled to call at Carambola Beach on New Year’s Day, while
selected ten-day cruises will include Christmas Eve there and Christmas Day in
Jost Van Dyke.
Tamis says the itineraries are designed to work both
as standalone holidays and as combinations for longer stays. “Whether guests
are joining us for a week or combining itineraries for a longer escape, they'll
experience the personalized service, extraordinary cuisine and immersive
destination experiences that define Seabourn.”
UNESCO sites form part of the shore programme
The Caribbean season will include excursions to
several UNESCO World Heritage Sites and other major cultural attractions.
In Antigua, guests can visit Nelson’s Dockyard and
continue to Shirley Heights. In St. Kitts, excursions include Brimstone Hill
Fortress National Park as well as Romney Manor and Caribelle Batik.
Other options include a catamaran cruise along St.
Lucia’s coast towards the Pitons, visits to historic Bridgetown and The
Garrison in Barbados, and a trolley tour through the Punda and Otrobanda
districts of Willemstad in Curaçao.
Seabourn Quest returns after major refurbishment
Guests sailing aboard Seabourn Quest will also
experience the ship following a major drydock programme.
The refurbishment covered suites, public areas, dining
venues and the spa, with refreshed accommodation, redesigned social spaces and
updated wellness facilities.
Onboard programming across both ships will continue to
include destination-inspired cuisine and the Seabourn Conversations series,
which brings cultural figures, specialists and other speakers on board for
presentations and informal discussions.
The 2028-2029 Caribbean season therefore combines the
operational advantages of smaller ships with a broader focus on destination
access, cultural content and longer time ashore.
