Seabourn has opened bookings for its 2029 World
Cruise, a 138-day journey aboard Seabourn Quest combining major cities, remote
islands and more than 25 UNESCO World Heritage sites. The voyage departs Miami
on 7 January 2029 and arrives in Lisbon on 26 May after travelling through the
Americas, South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Southeast Asia, the Indian
Ocean and Africa.
Under the title “Iconic Islands & Remote
Horizons”, the itinerary covers 58 destinations in 31 countries and territories
and includes 32 islands. Twenty calls offer extended stays, eight of them
overnight, giving guests additional time to explore destinations ranging from
Easter Island and Bora Bora to Sydney, Zanzibar and Cape Town.
From Easter Island to Zanzibar
The route combines well-known destinations with places
that are less frequently included in conventional cruise itineraries. Among
them are Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas Islands, Praslin in the Seychelles,
Antsiranana in Madagascar, Akaroa in New Zealand and Burnie in Tasmania.
More than 25 UNESCO World Heritage sites can be
visited during the voyage. They include Easter Island, New Zealand’s Fiordland
National Park, Stone Town in Zanzibar and the Sacred City of Kandy, accessible
from Colombo.
“Our 2029 World Cruise exemplifies the type of
extraordinary travel experiences that define Seabourn,” said Mark Tamis,
President of Seabourn. “This voyage combines globally celebrated destinations
with some of the world’s most remote and fascinating places, creating
opportunities for deeper discovery and meaningful cultural connection.”
Eight overnight calls offer more time ashore
Seabourn has built a considerable amount of additional
time in port into the itinerary. Overnight stays are planned in Lima, Easter
Island, Bora Bora, Bali, Singapore, Sydney, Zanzibar and Cape Town.
Longer calls are also scheduled in Cartagena,
Auckland, Napier, Melbourne, Portland, Adelaide, Busselton, Fremantle, Colombo,
Victoria, Walvis Bay and Las Palmas.
Optional land programmes extend the geographical scope
even further. Seabourn Journeys will offer experiences including the Galápagos
Islands, Machu Picchu, Uluru, the Taj Mahal, African safari destinations and
Easter Island.
Special programmes in Bali and Cape Town
Guests booking the complete World Cruise will receive
an included two-day, one-night programme in Bali. The itinerary combines
cultural encounters, local cuisine, village visits and experiences centred on
Balinese traditions.
Another exclusive event is planned in Cape Town at the
Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. World Cruise guests will have private
after-hours access accompanied by regional cuisine and live entertainment.
The programme continues aboard Seabourn Quest with
destination-related lectures, expert speakers through Seabourn Conversations,
culinary events, cultural performances and entertainment reflecting the regions
visited.
The ship itself has recently undergone an extensive
dry-dock refurbishment, including updates to suites, public areas, restaurants
and spa facilities.
World Cruise package includes flights and hotel stay
Guests travelling for the complete 138 days receive a
package of additional services. Depending on suite category, this includes up
to $4,000 in onboard credit for Veranda Suites and up to $8,000 for Penthouse
Suites and higher categories.
Round-trip Business Class flights, a pre-cruise hotel
night in Miami, the Bali land programme, an upgraded Starlink Wi-Fi package for
two devices and unlimited laundry, wet cleaning and pressing are also included.
Seabourn is additionally reducing the booking deposit by 50 percent and
providing commemorative gifts.
Travellers unable to join the entire 138-day voyage
will be able to book selected extended segments, with further details to be
announced later.
Bookings for the complete World Cruise and eligible
segments made by 17 September 2026 qualify for an early-booking saving of 10
percent. With its combination of long stays, small-ship access and destinations
spread across five continents, the 2029 itinerary places extended exploration
at the centre of Seabourn’s latest World Cruise programme.
