Small-ship voyages showcase Scandinavia, the British Isles, Iceland, Greenland and Norway’s fjords through destination-focused itineraries
Oceania Cruises unveils expanded Northern Europe programme for 2027

Oceania Cruises has revealed its 2027 Northern Europe season, offering a collection of small-ship voyages designed to highlight some of the region’s most scenic coastlines, cultural capitals and lesser-known ports. Sailing aboard Oceania Insignia, Oceania Marina and Oceania Vista, the programme features itineraries across Scandinavia, the Baltic, the British Isles, Iceland, Greenland and Norway’s famous fjords.

The cruise line says the itineraries have been designed around Northern Europe’s long summer days, seasonal traditions and destinations best explored by sea. Thanks to their smaller size, the ships can access ports that are often unavailable to larger vessels, including Rosendal in Norway, Stornoway in Scotland, Seydisfjordur in Iceland and Karlskrona in Sweden.

Focus on immersive destination experiences

Guests can choose from a wide range of shore excursions highlighting local culture, cuisine, history and outdoor activities. Experiences include cider tastings in Norway’s Hardanger region, farm-to-table culinary tours in Sweden and off-road adventures through eastern Iceland’s remote landscapes.

“Our Northern Europe voyages offer travellers an extraordinary way to experience one of the world’s most sought-after regions during the best time of year to visit,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises.

“From the fjords of Norway to the cultural capitals of Scandinavia and the remote coastlines of Iceland and Greenland, these itineraries are designed for guests who want to see more of the region in a seamless and refined way.”

Highlights of the 2027 season

Among the featured voyages is the 11-day Baltic Beauty itinerary from Stockholm to Copenhagen, calling at destinations such as Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga and Gdansk. The 14-day Castles of Ice & Stone cruise links London and Copenhagen, combining the British Isles with Norway’s coastline and Scandinavian cities.

For travellers seeking dramatic landscapes, Landscapes of a Lifetime offers a 10-day roundtrip voyage from Reykjavik exploring Iceland’s coastline and the Faroe Islands, while Fabulous Fjords focuses on Iceland and Greenland, including scenic cruising through Prince Christian Sound and an overnight stay in Nuuk.

Other itineraries combine major Northern European cities with coastal destinations, including voyages between Paris, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Reykjavik and London.

Growing demand for Northern Europe

The 2027 programme reflects the increasing popularity of Northern Europe among cruise travellers seeking a mix of natural scenery, cultural experiences and smaller, less crowded destinations.

Oceania Cruises operates more than 250 itineraries annually, visiting over 600 ports worldwide. The line is particularly known for its destination-focused approach, small-ship experience and culinary programme, marketed as “The Finest Cuisine at Sea”.

With itineraries ranging from 10 to 14 days, the Northern Europe season offers travellers a variety of ways to explore one of the world's most diverse and scenic cruising regions.
