From 17–19 June 2026, industry leaders, association representatives, and destination experts will gather in Thessaloniki, Greece, for the ICCA Mediterranean & France–Benelux Joint Chapter Meeting. Under the theme “Connecting People, Cities and Perspectives,” the event offers a powerful mix of strategic insight, meaningful dialogue, and authentic connection in one of Europe’s most vibrant coastal destinations.
The programme begins on 17 June with an immersive introduction to Thessaloniki. Delegates will discover the city through a guided tour before joining a stylish Welcome Reception at the Orizontes Roof Garden at Electra Palace. With panoramic views over Aristotelous Square, the evening provides the perfect setting to reconnect and spark new conversations.
On 18 June, the core programme will explore the key forces shaping the global meetings industry. Opening remarks from ICCA CEO Dr. Senthil Gopinath, alongside Chapter Chairs Dimitris Ganitis and Lina Ostapchuk, will set the tone for a day focused on collaboration and future readiness. A keynote by Christoph Tessmar will highlight why collaboration is becoming a critical competitive advantage in an evolving geopolitical landscape.
Throughout the day, expert-led panels will examine how destinations are moving from competition to collaboration, building alliances, and leveraging events to drive urban transformation and long-term impact. Sessions such as “How Events Drive Destination Competitiveness” and “What Associations Really Want: Decoding Decision-Making in 2026” will provide practical insights and forward-looking perspectives.
The programme also brings inspiration and interaction. Paralympic champion Antonios Tsapatakis will share a powerful message on connection through shared human experiences while engaging formats like the “Common Grounds” Mini Game Show will foster a sense of community in an interactive way. The “Navigating the Storm” sessions will address resilience and industry challenges, encouraging open and solution-driven dialogue.
On 19 June, the focus shifts to collaboration in action, with business exchanges, interactive labs, and workshops designed to generate new partnerships and ideas.
Bringing together diverse perspectives from across regions, the ICCA Mediterranean & France–Benelux Chapter Meeting 2026 is more than an annual event—it is a platform for shaping the future of the meetings industry through collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose. Thessaloniki awaits, ready to connect people, ideas, and opportunities.
