Marella Cruises has introduced Umi Sushi, the fourth à
la carte restaurant and 17th dining venue aboard Marella Voyager. Opening in
December 2025, the restaurant brings a fresh Japanese-inspired concept to the
ship, featuring freshly prepared ramen, customisable sushi boxes and Mochi Ice
Cream bowls.
A new bento-style dining experience
The pre-bookable bento menu, priced at £18.95,
includes one ramen dish, two otsumami-style bites, two selections from sushi,
sashimi or poke dishes, and a dessert. Each meal begins with a trio of edamame,
seaweed crackers and Asian pickles.
Ramen options include Char Siu Pork Fillet, Golden
Panko Chicken and Miso Tofu. Guests can add small plates such as Katsu Chicken
Wings, Pork Gyoza, Crab Shumai or Steamed Bao Buns, before choosing from a wide
selection of freshly made sushi, sashimi and poke.
Highlights include the Mr Chang roll with prawn
tempura and spicy mayo; the Legend featuring crab and smoked caviar; East
“Meats” West with bacon, beef sirloin and cheese; Teriyaki Chicken or Teriyaki
Tofu rolls; Tuna Poke; and classic Salmon Sashimi.
Desserts range from a Chocolate and Miso Torte to
Strawberry and Lime Leaf Cheesecake and Mochi Ice Cream in several flavours.
“Fresh and exciting for our customers”
Luke Murphy, Senior Product Development Manager at
Marella Cruises, said:
“We wanted to bring something fresh and exciting for
our customers onboard Marella Voyager, and Japanese cuisine offers the perfect
balance of flavour, artistry and variety. Umi Sushi delivers a dining
experience that’s both adventurous and comforting.”
A new addition to Marella’s specialty dining portfolio
Umi Sushi offers 34 seats and will operate daily from 18:30
to 21:00, providing the attentive service Marella Cruises is known for. The
venue joins the ship’s existing à la carte restaurants — Silver Fork, Kora La
and Surf & Turf — all available across the Marella fleet.
