Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has opened Kai Holo
Spa, a new wellness sanctuary that draws inspiration from Hawaii's landscapes
and traditions while integrating modern health and longevity concepts. Named
after the Hawaiian expression for "flowing tide", the spa has been
designed to guide guests through a seamless wellness journey combining
hydrotherapy, personalised treatments and advanced health services.
At the heart of the new facility is an aquathermal
centre where water, light and natural materials reflect the island's volcanic
origins and the journey of water from mountain to sea. The spa forms a central
element of the resort's wider transformation programme.
Hydrotherapy at the centre of the experience
The aquathermal circuit includes three hydrotherapy
pools featuring warm, therapeutic and cold-water experiences, complemented by
steam rooms, traditional and infrared saunas, sensory showers and relaxation
spaces.
Lighting throughout the spa has been carefully
designed to support circadian rhythms, with changing colours intended to
promote relaxation, restore energy and enhance the overall wellness experience.
"At Kai Holo Spa, every experience has been
shaped with care, from the way guests are welcomed into the space to the final
notes of each treatment," said Pat Makozak, Senior Spa Director at Four
Seasons Resort Maui.
"Wellness today is deeply personal, and at Kai
Holo that means meeting each guest exactly where they are. Whether spending an
afternoon flowing through the aquathermal circuit or immersing themselves in
one of our signature rituals, the intention is the same: transformation not as
a destination, but as a direction."
Treatments inspired by Hawaiian nature
A series of signature Pacific Journeys treatments has
been created around local traditions and botanical ingredients.
Among the experiences is the Kai Holo Signature
Oceanside Ritual, combining a black sea-salt foot soak, a honey and sugar body
polish harvested from the resort, kukui oil massage and a relaxing scalp
treatment. Other rituals include the Piko Mālama Wahine treatment for women, a
marine-inspired Spirulina & Astaxanthin Ocean Detox Body Ritual, and the
Queen's Garden Fern Ritual featuring native fern oil, island botanicals and
warm lava therapy.
The spa also offers advanced facial treatments
combining skincare science with bio-hacking technology, alongside a broad
selection of massage therapies and personalised wellness services.
Expanded focus on longevity and fitness
Adjacent to the spa, Four Seasons has redesigned its
longevity centre in partnership with Next|Health, a collaboration that began in
2021.
The facility offers biomarker testing, intravenous
therapies and NAD+ treatments designed to complement the spa programme. A
hyperbaric chamber is scheduled to be added later this summer.
The resort has also introduced a new fitness centre
equipped with Technogym equipment, body composition analysis and an infrared
Movement Studio offering yoga, reformer Pilates and outdoor TRX classes.
Part of a wider resort transformation
Kai Holo Spa is one of the centrepieces of the ongoing
redevelopment of Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, led by international
design firm Meyer Davis.
The wider transformation encompasses guest rooms,
suites and the Club Floor while preserving the property's established identity.
According to the resort, additional signature wellness retreats curated by
Senior Spa Director Pat Makozak are scheduled to launch later this year.
