Emirates has signed an interline agreement with Loong
Air, further expanding its reach within China. Effective immediately, Emirates
customers can connect to 22 additional cities operated by Loong Air via
Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
The new partnership allows passengers to book
multi-airline itineraries under a single ticket, supported by a unified baggage
policy and consistent fare conditions. The added destinations span multiple
regions across China, strengthening travel options for both business and
leisure markets.
Greater domestic access
Through the agreement, Emirates customers gain easier
access to important domestic centres including Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou,
Xiangyang and Dazhou. The cooperation is designed to simplify travel planning
while improving onward connections beyond Emirates’ existing gateways.
Tickets are available via emirates.com, online travel
agencies and global distribution systems. Customers booking through Emirates’
website can also use popular local payment platforms such as WeChat Pay and
Alipay.
Continued focus on China
The Loong Air partnership builds on Emirates’ broader
strategy in China. Over the past year, the airline launched new services to
Shenzhen and Hangzhou, introduced Premium Economy on selected routes and
reinstated A380 operations to Shanghai.
Emirates has served mainland China since 2004. The
airline currently operates 49 weekly flights to five cities – Beijing,
Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou – using a mix of A380, A350 and
Boeing 777 aircraft.
In addition to Loong Air, Emirates maintains
partnerships with Air China, China Southern Airlines and Sichuan Airlines,
providing access to more than 110 destinations across China beyond its own
network.
