Just in time for the busy holiday season, Delta Air
Lines is giving travelers more control than ever with the rollout of its Fly
Delta App 7.5. The update introduces new tools designed to simplify every step
of the journey — from flexible booking options and real-time travel insights to
expanded self-service features that make managing trips seamless.
Greater Flexibility in Booking
The new Flex Calendar makes fare comparisons across
multiple dates easier than ever. By selecting “My Dates Are Flexible” in the
booking window, travelers can instantly view the best available fares and spot
ideal travel days at a glance. The Flex Calendar also highlights eligible dates
for customers using Companion Certificates, helping SkyMiles® Members maximize
their benefits in one streamlined view.
Through Advanced Search, travelers can now apply Certificates,
eCredits, and Delta Gift Cards directly when booking — no extra steps required.
Enhanced Day-of-Travel Visibility
With version 7.5, Delta introduces deeper Live
Activities integration, allowing travelers to see real-time details such as
boarding zones, seat assignments, and baggage carousel numbers — all displayed
conveniently on their smartphone lock screens.
A new Delta Sky Club® Tracker also lets SkyMiles® Card
Members monitor spending, view club visit history, and track their progress
toward unlimited Sky Club access for the following year.
Smarter Self-Service
Need to update your Known Traveler Number (KTN)? You
can now do it instantly within the app — no need to visit delta.com.
Later this month, Delta will invite a small group of
SkyMiles Members to test Delta Concierge, a next-generation digital travel
assistant powered by generative AI. Designed to complement the care of Delta’s
people, the Concierge provides fast, accurate, and personalized assistance
directly through the app, freeing up agents to handle more complex requests
while giving customers confidence and control on the go.
Building on the Fly Delta 7.0 Experience
The 7.5 update builds on the innovations introduced
with Fly Delta 7.0, which featured easier redemption of Global and Regional
Upgrade Certificates, improved international document handling, and
self-service standby rebooking. Together, these updates reflect Delta’s ongoing
commitment to a more personalized and connected customer experience.
The Fly Delta App continues to serve as the ultimate
travel companion — helping customers stay informed, organized, and in control
from booking to baggage claim. With intuitive design, proactive notifications,
and real-time updates, Delta ensures that travelers can navigate every journey
with confidence, clarity, and ease.
