She is a proven expert at turning financial strategy and vision into action and is well-respected within the global financial community for her experience in managing complex organisations in international environments.

Luis Maroto, president, Amadeus, commented: “Carol’s wide breadth of industry and organisational experience as a group chief financial officer was a real attraction to us: her multi-decade career reflects a strong commitment to innovation throughout, and to delivering and enabling transformation and change for technology-focused multi-national organisations, often in complex financial environments.

She will be based in Madrid for this role reporting directly to Maroto.
Borg commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining Amadeus at this pivotal moment in its journey.
“My international experience with technology-driven organisations will complement the incredible talent already at Amadeus.

“I look forward to contributing to Amadeus’ ongoing success and helping to make travel work better.”
