RIU Hotels & Resorts has hosted the eighth edition of the RIU Awards, the annual event recognising the most successful travel agencies from the USA and Canada. This year’s celebration took place at the Riu Palace Pacifico in Riviera Nayarit, where 90 representatives from two of the group’s strongest source markets gathered for a festive evening inspired by Mexican tradition and Otomi art. Alongside the awards, RIU’s Marketing and Sales team presented updates on renovations, new openings and services across the chain.
Recognition for top producers
The event highlighted the highest-performing agencies from both countries. In Canada, the distinctions went to The Travel Agent Next Door as the top host agency and Red Label Vacations as the top travel agency. Additional acknowledgements for outstanding growth were awarded to The Travel Agent Next Door and Les Voyages Simon Pelletier Inc.
In the United States, the top host agency award went to Inteletravel, while Vacations To Go was recognised as the top travel agency. Travel Planners International and Magnum Travel received special acknowledgements for their strong year-on-year growth.
A programme designed to appreciate partners
Award recipients enjoyed a tailored programme including special activities, destination experiences and surprises arranged to honour their commitment to the RIU brand. The participants were joined by members of RIU’s Business Development team: Armin Kaestner, Magnolia Crisostomo, Celia Casado, Nicole Brown and the BDM teams from the USA and Canada. Martina Peuser and Carolina Osuna also took part. RIU extended particular thanks to the Operations team led by Daniel Camponovo and Raúl Pedregal for their support throughout the weekend.
Looking ahead to 2026
The RIU Awards recognise performance based on production from the previous year. Agencies wishing to take part in the ninth edition in 2026 can qualify by continuing to collaborate with RIU and registering their bookings through the RIU Partner Club.
