Radisson Hotel Group and Amadeus have announced the
launch of direct API connectivity, marking a step toward more modern hotel
distribution. The new interface connects Radisson’s EMMA Central Reservation
System (CRS) with the Amadeus Travel Platform, moving beyond traditional Global
Distribution System protocols.
The integration builds on Radisson Hotel Group’s
existing API structure, removing the need for separate interfaces. Booking
data, rates and availability are updated in real time, ensuring travel sellers
access accurate and timely information directly within the Amadeus environment.
AI-supported data mapping
A central element of the solution is AI-driven data
mapping. The system aligns data fields between both platforms, reducing manual
processes while improving the precision and relevance of search and booking
results.
Mirja Sickel, EVP Hospitality Distribution at Amadeus,
said:
“The API connectivity with Radisson is a milestone in
our mission to transform how the industry approaches distribution. We have
enhanced our connectivity by leveraging AI to map the data-fields between the
two systems, which ensures consistency and reduces manual tracking.
We know that having the capability to share changes in
rates and availability instantly to travel sellers around the world is
essential for hoteliers in today’s market. That’s why we’ve built a flexible,
reusable connection through the Amadeus Travel Platform that can be adopted by
other hotel chains to help hotels stand out from the crowd.”
Operational and customer benefits
According to both companies, the direct connectivity
improves workflows across distribution teams while enhancing the booking
experience. Travel sellers can compare room categories, amenities and rates in
greater detail, supporting more informed decisions and personalized stays.
At the same time, automated updates reduce manual
intervention for hotel staff, contributing to greater operational efficiency.
Richard Biggs, Global Head RevGen EMMA CRS &
Channels at Radisson Hotel Group, added:
“At Radisson Hotel Group, we champion innovation and
are proud to be part of the next era of hotel distribution with Amadeus. This
direct connection will enable us to continuously modernize and leverage the
latest technologies to meet the needs of our customers.”
