The PAZ Travel Fair will return to the historic Gebläsehalle Ilsede in 2026 with an expanded concept. Tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, destinations and other tourism providers will present their products and services on November 14 and 15. Organisers expect a total of between 5,000 and 7,000 visitors over the two days.
The event is organised by Benzer Touristik, the Peiner Allgemeine Zeitung (PAZ) and Fuhrmann Mundstock. According to the organisers, more than 30 international partners have already confirmed their participation, with particularly strong interest from cruise companies and the hotel sector.
Direct contact with travellers takes centre stage
The travel fair is primarily aimed at consumers, giving visitors the opportunity to speak directly with tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, destinations and other tourism providers and learn more about offers for the coming travel year.
The mid-November timing has been deliberately chosen to coincide with the start of the early-booking period. Exhibitors will therefore be able to present their products directly to consumers who are already planning their holidays for 2027.
According to the organisers, the fair's catchment area extends well beyond Peine and Ilsede. Visitors are expected from the greater Hannover, Braunschweig, Wolfsburg and Hildesheim areas.
Travel presentations, coaches and motorhomes
The PAZ Travel Fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. A stage programme featuring travel talks and presentations will complement the exhibition, with Goofy Förster from sonnenklar.TV hosting the programme.
Coaches and motorhomes will also be on display. Travel agency employees and other tourism professionals are expressly invited to attend, giving them an opportunity to network and exchange ideas directly with participating tourism providers.
Benzer Touristik, one of the three organisers, has been active in travel sales since 1992 and brings more than three decades of experience in personal travel consultancy to the event.
Return to the Gebläsehalle
The format is not entirely new for the organisers. A travel fair was already held at the Gebläsehalle Ilsede in 2017 and, according to the organisers, attracted considerable attention in the region. The 2026 event aims to build on that success with an expanded concept.
One new element is the extension of the fair into the digital sphere. Following the event weekend, exhibitors will remain present with digital exhibition stands from November 16, 2026 until the end of February 2027. Visitors will therefore be able to continue exploring participating companies and their offers after the physical event has ended.
Exhibitor registrations open until the end of August
Despite more than 30 partners having already confirmed their participation, exhibitor spaces are still available. The organisers are particularly keen to broaden the fair's international offering.
Tour operators, ocean and river cruise companies, hotel groups and individual hotels, destinations, tourism boards and other tourism service providers are invited to participate.
Interested companies can register for the PAZ Travel Fair until August 30, 2026.
