Eurowings is expanding its Middle East network for
winter 2026/27, adding Baghdad as a new destination alongside a broad range of
services to the region. From 10 December 2026, the airline plans to operate two
weekly nonstop flights to the Iraqi capital from both Berlin and Düsseldorf.
The new Baghdad routes complement Eurowings’ existing
services to Iraq and form part of a wider winter expansion from Berlin,
Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart. The airline will
connect these airports with destinations across Northern and Southern Europe,
the Canary Islands, Egypt and the Middle East.
Dubai remains one of the strongest Middle Eastern
destinations in the programme. Eurowings will operate daily flights from
Berlin, four weekly services from Stuttgart and three from Cologne/Bonn,
providing a total of 14 weekly connections. The airline is also expanding its
premium product on the longer routes, with its new Premium BIZ Seat available
on all Dubai flights from December.
Baghdad joins a broad regional network
The two new Baghdad routes will give travellers from
Berlin and Düsseldorf direct access to the Iraqi capital twice a week. They
complement Eurowings’ existing links with Erbil, which will be served from six
German airports: Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover and
Stuttgart.
Saudi Arabia also remains part of the winter
programme. Jeddah will receive two weekly flights from both Berlin and
Stuttgart and three weekly services from Cologne/Bonn.
Eurowings will operate three weekly flights between
Düsseldorf and Tel Aviv, while Stuttgart will be linked with Amman twice a
week. Beirut will have connections with several European cities in the
Eurowings network, including Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Stockholm, Prague and
Salzburg.
The range gives Eurowings a Middle East portfolio
extending from the Gulf and Saudi Arabia to Iraq, Jordan and the eastern
Mediterranean, while concentrating much of the German capacity at Berlin,
Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart.
Premium BIZ Seat expands from December
Alongside the network expansion, Eurowings is
introducing its Premium BIZ Seat on selected routes from 1 December 2026. All
flights to Dubai will offer the new product, together with selected services to
London Heathrow, Mallorca and Málaga.
The seating concept occupies the first two rows of the
Airbus A320neo and provides eight seats in a 2-2 configuration. Compared with
the standard cabin layout, passengers receive wider seats, additional legroom
and greater recline as well as adjustable leg rests.
The introduction gives Eurowings a more differentiated
premium product on routes such as Dubai, where flight times make additional
space and comfort particularly relevant. It also extends the airline’s premium
strategy beyond traditional business destinations by offering the seats on
selected leisure routes.
With Baghdad joining the network and 14 weekly Dubai
services planned, Eurowings is giving the Middle East a prominent position in
its 2026/27 winter schedule while simultaneously upgrading the onboard product
on some of its longer flights.
