Condor adds Athens, Florence and Stockholm to Frankfurt network

Three new routes from spring 2027 will expand Condor’s European city network to 16 destinations and provide additional connections to long-haul services

Condor is adding Athens, Florence and Stockholm to its European network from Frankfurt in spring 2027. The expansion will bring the airline’s city portfolio to 16 European destinations and further develop Frankfurt as the connecting hub for its growing short-haul and long-haul network.

The new services are designed to carry both point-to-point passengers and connecting traffic. Travellers from the three cities will gain additional access via Frankfurt to Condor’s long-haul network across North America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

Athens starts in late April

Athens will become the first of the three new destinations on April 28, 2027. Condor plans to operate one daily flight between Frankfurt and the Greek capital throughout the summer season.

Florence follows on May 6. The Tuscan city will receive two daily flights during the summer, giving Condor a comparatively high frequency on the new route and targeting both leisure and business demand.

Stockholm Arlanda joins the network on May 13. Unlike the other two additions, the Swedish capital will be served year-round, with two daily flights.

Short-haul growth supports long-haul connections

The expansion forms part of Condor’s strategy to develop Frankfurt beyond its traditional role as the departure point for leisure-oriented long-haul flights. The growing European network provides additional feeder traffic for intercontinental services while opening Condor’s long-haul destinations to passengers originating in other European markets.

Our guests will benefit from an even broader European offering as well as seamlessly coordinated connections to our long-haul destinations,” said Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm, CCO of Condor.

According to the airline, schedules are being coordinated to provide short transfer times in Frankfurt, connecting the new European services with flights to destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

Condor continues shift towards network model

With 16 European city destinations planned for summer 2027, Condor is continuing its development into a network carrier. The short-haul operation increasingly serves a dual purpose, combining direct European traffic with feeder services for the airline’s intercontinental network.

The additions of Athens, Florence and Stockholm therefore extend Condor’s European footprint while increasing the number of markets from which passengers can connect to its long-haul flights through Frankfurt.
