Where
time stands still
In
the United Arab Emirates, a warm welcome means a contagious smile and a generous
spirit. The new Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, the brand’s sixth hotel in the Emirates,
invites visitors to experience the rich cultural heritage in this northern emirate.
Only 55-minutes from the Dubai International Airport, set in the historic and glowing
glamorous destination of Ras Al Khaimah, the Resort is nestled between the seaside
and the majestic Hajar mountains. An idyllic location, where visitors can delight
in both the local culture and the exquisite landscape. An inspiring universe, showcased
at the heart of the hotel, between Arabic touches and a French zest.
Where
Arab generosity go hand in hand with French art de vivre
At
the Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, guests are immersed in an incredibly generous
atmosphere that draws from Eastern and Western cultures. An emotion, a smile, a
kind gesture: service is heartfelt, backed by Sofitel’s famous attention to detail.
Dreamt
into reality by the award-winning interior design studio Kristina Zanic Consultants,
the refined décor stands out with reinvented elegance. The Cultural Link, the renowned
Sofitel emblem with two geometric interlacing curves — symbolizing two cultures
that merge to create a unique experience — expresses itself in French- style interiors
awash in a palette of Mediterranean colors.
In
the reception area, French sophistication joins grandiose details from local customs
and Traditions — as seen in the remarkable artwork in the lobby, which highlights
the region’s heritage — striking up a powerful dialogue between the two worlds.
Bathed in warm light and encircled by lush gardens, the space is unlike any other.
In parallel, the bay windows beautifully frame the picturesque scenery of Ras Al
Khaimah.
Here,
each guest is greeted with the signature Sofitel “Bonjour” and the region’s traditional
cup of coffee. Visitors are then invited to relax in one of the luxurious velvet
armchairs, set on a handmade rug that is 14 meters long, tailor-made for the hotel.
Here
and there, elements of the French art of living will catch one’s eye, enhanced with
magnificent Arab motifs. In most of the spaces, a spectacular black-and-white layout
is completed with mustard, sage, coral and teal tones, inspired by the surrounding
settings: terracotta mountains, lush mangroves, the waters of the Arabian Gulf and
pristine white sand beaches.
“Sofitel
Al Hamra Beach Resort is a place where generous local traditions seamlessly blend
with the French zest. Each corner of our Resort tells a captivating story just waiting
to be unraveled.” — Karim Abdelhamid, General Manager, Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort
After
swimming in one of the hotel pools, guests will be happy to return to the comfort
of their rooms. At the Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, guests can make themselves
at home in one of the 292 rooms and spacious suites with their unmatched charm,
or in spacious Maison for families. Between vibrant hues and artistic touches, the
references to Emirate culture can be seen everywhere. On the rugs for example, with
their complex patterns, are inspired by traditional Al Sadu weaving. Local details
that joyfully meld with contemporary French style, transforming the hotel into an
ideal haven, for a retreat in which travelers are sure to unplug and unwind.
Where
every palate is sure to be satisfied
At
the Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, the dining experience promises to be unforgettable.
Six spaces, including three bars, bring out the best of local flavors and the finest
ingredients. Amongst them is Citron, nestled in the lobby, which embodies modern
French elegance. For a culinary exploration, the East restaurant invites guests
on a journey around the world. Along one of the outdoor pools, the Samphire Pool
Bar offers a menu of refreshing cocktails. Then comes the authenticity of French
cuisine with Réunion. As for the restaurant Waka, it celebrates the culinary heritage
of Polynesia. Last but not least, wine lovers will enjoy the selection of international
bottles at the Veritas Wine Bar.
Where
vacation is taken seriously
To
dive into local culture, Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort proposes a wide range of
activities every day and all year long. Amongst these experiences: the hotel is
the first Sofitel in the United Arab Emirates to offer a Sofitel Spa with Clarins
with personalized treatments adapted to the unique needs of each guest’s journey
to wellbeing. After a moment suspended in time, pampered by expert hands, they can
continue relaxing in one of the hotel’s outdoor pools, facing the Arabian Gulf.
With several pools reserved for adults (including a jacuzzi), one children’s pool
(located next to an Aqua Splash space) and two large pools equipped with bars, accessible
to everyone, each guest will find something to smile about. Not to mention that
nine of the establishment’s suites also have their own private pools.
When
it’s time to put feet back on the ground, guests and golf enthusiasts can head to
the Al Hamra Golf Club, right near the hotel. And because Sofitel thinks of all
its guests, the Le Petit Prince Club welcomes the youngest ones each day (with children’s
playground and fun treasure hunts) while the teenagers will enjoy the Teen’s club
– the first one ever at a Sofitel - so that everyone can make the most of their
stay.
