Reduced
fares apply for children up to the age of 11. Children between the ages of 2
and 11 and infants under the age of 2 travelling in their own seat with a child
seat receive a discount on the regular fare. Infants under the age of 2
travelling on their parents' lap only pay a service charge of €25 per leg of
the journey. The age of the child at the start of the last flight of the
booking is always relevant. The only exceptions to this are group bookings of
10 or more people, as a group discount price already applies here.
Baggage
and prams
Depending
on the fare booked, the same baggage regulations apply for children (2-11
years) as for adult passengers. For infants (0-24 months), one 23 kg piece of
baggage can be checked in free of charge, regardless of the fare.
In
addition, two of the following items can be carried free of charge or checked
in as baggage per child up to and including 11 years of age: Pushchair, buggy,
child seat, travel cot or a baby carrier.
Safety
on board
At
Eurowings, the safety of our passengers is our top priority - and this is
especially true for children on board. For this reason, Eurowings
generally allows the use of personal child seats. This requires a check-in at
the counter, as the suitability of the child seat must be checked on site. The
exact guidelines and all approved models can be found on the Eurowings homepage.
Boarding
pass also for cuddly toys
Children
prefer to travel with their cuddly toy. To relieve the tension before
travelling, Eurowings also provides a boarding pass for cuddly toys. Simply
download the cuddly toy boarding pass from home before departure,
print it out and take it with you. This means that the whole family - including
the cuddly toy - is perfectly prepared for the flight to their holiday
destination.
